About
My name is Eileen Lynch and I am 28 years old. I come from Aghabullogue, in mid-Cork and I am a Solicitor with O’Flynn Exhams Solicitors in Cork City. I graduated from University College Cork in 2012 with a degree in Law and Irish, having completed my Leaving Certificate in Coachford Community College in 2008. Prior to completing my solicitor training I worked as a Parliamentary Assistant to Senator Colm Burke, Cork North Central and Senator Michael Comiskey, Sligo Leitrim.
I am from a farming background and am involved in several local community organisations including Macra na Feirme. I am also involved in the greyhound industry. In my spare time, I love music, both playing and attending concerts, theatre and travel.
I have been involved in Local, National and European politics with Fine Gael and Young Fine Gael for over ten years. Through this involvement, I have seen the importance of politics and the difference that good politicians can make. Politics is truly one of the main mechanisms available to us to achieve change; social change, economic change or environmental change.
I was recently elected Secretary General of the Youth of the European People’s Party (YEPP); this has been a great honour for me. YEPP is the largest youth political organisation in Europe and connects almost 1 million young people in Europe who are part of Christian Democratic and Conservative political parties. We work hard to provide a voice for young Europeans by bringing forward policy which we believe is in the interests of young people.
I have recently been selected to be a Fine Gael Candidate for the Cork County Council Local Elections in the Macroom Electoral Area. I believe that I can be a strong voice and advocate for the people of this area. I want to work with communities to make our communities stronger. I believe in better for all.
If you have any questions about me, my campaign or my policies, please get in touch via facebook, email or phone.
Best wishes,
Eileen
